Brady · Software engineer at CSG, Chicago
Somewhere between mainframes and AGI.

About
I build side projects, mostly at night: an app that finds clips in long streams, a voice assistant in an enclosure I designed, and a model that forecasts every Formula 1 race. My cat Finn is usually on the desk.
By day I'm a Software Development Engineer II at CSG. Long term, I want to help build AGI.
The cat at the bottom of your screen is Finn. He follows your cursor and naps if you stop moving. The treat button feeds him.
Day job
Software Development Engineer II at CSG.
I work on mainframe modernization and developer tooling for large telecom clients, in Java, z/OS Assembler, REST APIs, VSAM, React and SQLite.
- Millionsof records and requests a day through production systems I've delivered
- 4 GBz/OS limit bypassed by a hybrid Java/Assembler logging system writing straight to VSAM
- 40+engineers using internal tools I've built
- Zerorollbacks across high-risk deployments I've led for major client accounts

What I listen to.
Emo to Chopin, with Sabrina Carpenter, Radiohead and Max Richter in between. Chopin's Ballade No. 1 is my favourite piece. Pick a record from the shelf to play it through Spotify.
